Located on Hull Street on the banks of the James River, the South Falls Towers and garage represents phase one of the $100 million Manchester riverfront development in downtown Richmond, Virginia. Dubbed South Falls I, the first tower includes 256 luxury apartments with river views in the L-shaped, 14-story building. South Falls I and its accompanying parking garage are comprised of 314,544 SF of precast concrete manufactured at Metromont’s Richmond plant. Constructed using Metromont’s proprietary MetroDeck precast wall and floor system, the South Falls I exterior façade features a unique white concrete mix designed to stand out from the typical brick structures of Richmond. The building is designed to include 2,400 SF of ground-level retail fronting the canal at the entry of the Manchester development. South Falls I is the second apartment tower and garage project Metromont has recently produced in Richmond for owner WVS Companies with project team KBS, Inc., Walter Parks architect, and Speight, Marshall & Francis engineers.
