37 years ago, a friend in the precast concrete industry suggested to James Perkey that he apply for a job with Shockey Precast. He took his friend’s advice and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of his life. “I started my career with Shockey Precast in the field, working in finishing and grouting, and eventually advancing to precast erection supervisor. In 1994, the Field Operations Manager asked me to help him run the Field Operations department and we’ve worked together ever since. Shockey Precast has given me the opportunity to work with many talented people. I love knowing that what we do touches the lives of so many individuals.”
