Justo Mazariegos joined Shockey Precast as an intern in the drafting department his senior year of high school. While attending Virginia Polytechnic Institute for Civil Engineering, Justo continued to work as a drafter, working his way up to design engineer. “During my time in college, I had opportunities to apply the engineering knowledge and skills I was learning in my classes to projects I was working on for Shockey Precast.” Through his career with Shockey Precast, Justo has learned about precast concrete structures and the processes required to design and construct them. From drafting through construction, he’s gained the experience of what each phase entails. “I’ve always wanted a career within the construction industry, and Shockey Precast gave me the opportunity to intern as a drafter while I was still in high school. My seven years at Shockey Precast have been filled with enormous success and development and I look forward to continuing my engineering career here.”
