CONTRACTOR:

Project Overview

Located in the 12th largest business market in the country and the heart of downtown Fairfax County, the Tysons II H Parking Structure in McLean, VA, was constructed to support the 18-story, 476,000 SF office building at 1775 Tysons Boulevard. Completed in late 2015, the office building is the fifth office building designed by Lerner Enterprises as part of the Corporate Office Centre at Tysons II.

The Tysons II H Parking Structure was designed to allow for future horizontal expansion, and includes a green-tinted architectural concrete mix and architectural finish on the wall panels. The Shockey Precast Group manufactured and erected a total of 993 precast components for the project, including 337,256 SF of double tees. Erection began in December 2014 and was completed in May 2015.

"The precast concrete design was able to meet the stringent performance requirements of the structure while providing an aesthetically pleasing, sustainable final product at an affordable price point."

"Metromont’s team embraced our idea and got their whole team on board. It’s one thing for sales managers to want to make architects happy, but to have the plant manager, the finishing crew foreman and engineers fully engaged is something else. Metromont was extremely cooperative – the project was a win-win for everyone.”
